The article will explain how to replace an Active USB cable from the SS20.

Instructions:
Make sure to power down the system and ground yourself before proceeding.
- Locate the sensor in the booth requiring the active USB cable extension replacement.
- Hang the alignment board in the booth. 1 – 10 facing the monitor and 11 – 20 facing the back. The number on the alignment board corresponds to the sensor’s position.
- Unscrew the sensors and secure the sensor to the tower with one screw-like image below.
- Repeat to all sensors above the repair site for easy access to routing cables.
- Unplug the defective Active USB cable from the sensor.
- Route the cable upward and remove any zip tie until you reach the computer. Remember where you cut them because you must secure the cable back with zip ties.
- Unplug the Active USB cable from the computer.
- Plug the new Active USB cable into the computer and route it down the tower.
- Mark the cables with their corresponding position on the scanner.
- Plug the Active USB cable into the sensor.
- Repeat steps 2 -7 if needed for other active USB cable replacement.
- Power on the computer
- Check the device manager for 20 Orbbec sensor
- Warp the extra wire around the socket and zip-tie the cable to the zip-tie holder. (Make sure not to overtighten the zip tie)
- Screw all sensors back into the tower.
- Align the scanner.
