MeThreeSixty - An error occurred while logging in.

This article is for users who are getting the following: "An error occurred while logging in; please try again."

The error “An error occurred while logging in; please try again” is caused by a security feature on AWS blocking your login attempts. The IP address is most likely logged and flagged by multiple agents requesting it. This doesn't mean it's your IP in general but someone in the area. I'm told this can also happen to email addresses.

Ensure the MeThreeSixty app is completely closed and not running in the background while performing any of the solutions below.

Solution 1

  1. If you are using a VPN, we recommend you change your destination on the VPN.

Solution 2

  1. Check if the "Set time automatically" is toggled “On” in your device Settings > System > Date & time.

    1. If it's off, turn it on.

    2. If it’s on, toggle it off and then on again.

    3. Launch the app.

Solution 3

  1. Switch from Wi-Fi to cellular data and disable Wi-Fi.

    1. Do the reverse if failed.

Solution 4

  1. Log in to the app on a different cellular device. This will narrow down the problem to the device itself.

    1. If it's the device, ensure all the phone software is up to date.

    2. Check the web for known issues related to your device model.

Solution 5

  1. Install a VPN to bypass the IP blocking (ProtonVPN is trusted by our engineers and is free for standard use cases).
