This article provides tips on getting a completed scan.
The MeThreeSixty creates an avatar by capturing the user’s front and side silhouette. Objects in the background or baggy clothing will interfere in scanning and processing.
Tip 1 - Preparation
Long hair can block neck outlines and, depending on the length, cause measurement issues around the torso.
Clothing must be formfitting and a solid color different from the wall. Avoid baggy clothing with many creases and clothing that shares a similar color tone to your skin or environment.
Do not scan in the nude! The app will have a problem separating your body outline depending on your skin tone, background color, and environmental lighting.
Socks need to be a solid color different from the wall. Avoid using any fuzzy material.
Tip 2 - Scan Area
The background must be solid color, free of clutter or objects on the wall. Avoid areas with colors similar to your skin or clothing tone.
Clutter, what is it? Any objects and fixtures that can block or cause your body outline to blend into the background. The scan area needs to be clear of clutter.
Environment lighting should be well-lit. Avoid any area with intense lighting or direct sunlight. How can you tell if there is intense lighting? If you notice any white spot or light reflecting off your skin or clothing on the screen
Tip 3 - Device position
Distance will change depending on how tall or broad you are. The most important rule is that your whole body has to be visible on the screen. If any part of your body is off-screen, move the device further back.
Foot Marker on-screen should be closer to the wall. Adjust the phone distance from the wall so the foot marker is near the wall.
Height, The device must be positioned at waist to knee height.
The device must be stable and on a level surface. Use the circle leveling tool at the top of the screen to level it.
Tip 4 - Getting into position
Step into the foot marker and position yourself on top of it. It will turn green, indicating that you are in the correct zone. The white silhouette and green foot marker will disappear shortly. If it does not turn green, take a step back, position yourself off the foot marker, and take a step forward onto the foot marker.
Log out of the app, close it completely, and ensure it's not running in the background. Launch the app and log in if you do not see the white silhouette or the foot marker does not turn green.
Side pose difficulty, the app keeps saying to straighten arms. Ensure your arm does not block your front or back torso outline. I recommend lifting your arms parallel to the floor, letting the app pick up its motion, and putting them back to your side. Move your hands closer to the tight front but not too far so that they will obscure the leg outline. Wear form-fitting clothes with a solid color different from the background.
Tip 5 - Device
Software updates are essential; check if your device has the latest updates.
Device data and time need to be set to automatically in settings. Search Google for your device model for detailed steps to set the date/time automatically.
